# Talend Dynamic Engine

This release note covers the release of Dynamic Engine v1.2.0 and its subsequent maintenance releases.

## Upcoming changes

Dynamic Engine v1.2.0 is the last version to support the kubectl type deployments that use standard manifest files. Starting from version 1.3, the kubectl deployment enters a deprecation period.

Migrate to Helm-based deployments now to ensure continued support and access to future enhancements. For deployment instructions, see [Default Helm deployment](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/dynamic-engine-configuration-guide/Cloud/deploy-with-helm-values-files).
