Properties to configure to compute or calculate values from fields.

| Function name | Select the function to apply to the fields. For more information about<br>all the functions available, see [the list of functions](https://help.qlik.com/talend/r/en-US/Cloud/pipeline-designer-processors-guide/math-functions). |
| Fields to process | Select the<br>field or fields on which you want to apply a function in the list.<br><br>Information noteTip: If you want to apply the same function to multiple fields at<br>once, click the ![Open dialog](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/pipeline-designer-processors-guide/Resources/images/icon-open-dialog.png) icon to open a tree view that allows you to select multiple<br>fields. |
| Create new column | Enable this<br>option to create a new column after applying the function. If you do not enable<br>this option, the existing column will be kept and modified. |
| Rename new column | Give a custom name to the newly created field. |

To rename the processor, click the ![Rename](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/pipeline-designer-processors-guide/Resources/images/icon-blue_pencil.png) Rename icon next to the default name of the processor.
