# Creating advanced run profiles

## Before you begin

* You must have the Run Profiles - Manage (TMC\_RUN\_PROFILE\_MANAGEMENT) user permission to manage run profiles.

* You must set up a Remote Engine Gen2 or ensure that your subscription allows the use of the Cloud Engine for Design. For instructions, see the [Talend Remote Engine Gen2 Quick Start Guide](https://help.qlik.com/talend/r/en-US/Cloud/remote-engine-gen2-quick-start-guide).

## Procedure

1. Open the Processing page.
2. Click the Run profiles tab.
3. Click Create new then Run profile.
4. Select Remote Engine Gen2 as Processor type.
5. Select the engine to which you want to apply the run profile.
6. Select the Advanced run profile type.
7. Enter the name of the profile.
8. Enter or paste the configuration in JSON code format to the Advanced profile field.

9. Click Save.

## Results

You can see the created run profile from the Run profiles tab of the Processing page in Talend Management Console. In Talend Cloud Pipeline Designer, the same run profile appears in the drop-down list of the pipeline.
