Error when launching Talend Studio on Mac systems

When launching Talend Studio on MacOS, if you see the error message "Failed to create the Java Virtual Machine" please try the following workaround.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Talend Studio installation directory.
  2. Open the Talend-Studio-macosx-cocoa.ini file and add the -vm parameter at the beginning of the file followed by Java filepath.

    For example:

    -vm
    /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/zulu-8.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java
  3. Save your modifications.

Results

You can now restart Talend Studio.
