# Editing a Dynamic Engine

Edit the details of an existing Dynamic Engine.

## Before you begin

You must have the Infrastructure Administrator (containing the TMC\_CLUSTER\_MANAGEMENT permission) role in Talend Management Console.

## Procedure

1. Go to the Processing page.
2. Open the Dynamic Engines tab.
3. Click a Dynamic Engine name in the list to open the details panel.
   | Action | How |
   | --- | --- |
   | Rename your Dynamic Engine | Hover over its name and click the ![Edit](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/dynamic-engine-configuration-guide/Resources/images/tmc-edit_task_icon.png) icon. |
   | Edit the description | In the Overview tab, click the ![Edit](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/dynamic-engine-configuration-guide/Resources/images/tmc-edit_task_icon.png) next to the Description field. |
   | Access the pages for assigning environments | Click the Manage button. |
4. Save your changes.
