# Deleting a Dynamic Engine environment

Deleting a Dynamic Engine environment deletes its spaces, artifacts, tasks, and other properties. This deletion cannot be undone.

You cannot delete an environment assigned to a Dynamic Engine or with the Setup required status.

## Before you begin

* You must have the Environment Administrator (containing the TMC\_ENVIRONMENT\_MANAGEMENT permission) role in Talend Management Console.
* The Dynamic Engine environment must have the Not assigned or Not ready status.

## Procedure

1. Go to the Environments page.
2. Open the Dynamic Engine Environments tab.
3. Right-click the environment name.
4. Click Delete.

   You can also click the Delete button from the environment details panel.
5. Confirm the deletion.
6. If this environment has been deployed in Kubernetes, delete it using the following commands in the Kubernetes terminal:
   1. ```
      helm ls -n default
      ```
   2. ```
      helm delete dynamic-engine-environment-$DYNAMIC_ENGINE_ENVIRONMENT_ID
      ```

   Information noteTip: If this environment was deployed before v1.7.0 using the classic Kubectl manifest files, use the following commands:
   1. In the Kubernetes terminal, run kubectl get dynamicengineenvs.qlik.com to list environment resources.
   2. Delete each resource namespace:
      ```
      kubectl delete namespace <namespace-name-of-the-environment>
      ```

      For example, the resource name or the namespace name to be used can read like: qlik-processing-env-66f2c0bb3e063d3518122259.

   For full context on Kubectl-deployed environments, see [Classic Kubectl deployment](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/dynamic-engine-configuration-guide/Cloud/deploy-with-standard-manifest-files "Reference information for the classic Kubectl deployment method, available only for engines and environments deployed before v1.7.0. Unlike Helm, Kubectl does not allow custom deployment configuration.").

   Information noteNote: The same procedure is also explained in the section about [Deleting a Dynamic Engine](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/dynamic-engine-configuration-guide/Cloud/deleting-dynamic-engine).

   Once done, run the kubectl get dynamicengineenvs.qlik.com command. You should see that the Dynamic Engine environment resource is not listed anymore.
