# Deleting data quality rules

## Procedure

1. Log in as a rule manager.
2. In the left panel, click Data quality rules.
   * Select the rules you want to delete, click Remove rules and confirm.
   * Hover over ![Remove rule icon](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/data-inventory-user-guide/Resources/images/delete_icon.png) of one specific rule, click it and confirm.

## Results

If the rule was applied to datasets, they are automatically updated as well as the quality bars.
