# Classifying an object with a term

Reuse the name and description of a term from a glossary to document metadata elements.

## Before you begin

You have been assigned an object role with the Term Documentation Editing capabilities.

## Procedure

1. Open the page of the object.
2. Click the Semantic Flow tab to define a link.
3. In the Type field, select Definition or Usage from the drop-down list.
   * If you complete this action from the source element, select Usage.
   * If you complete this action from the target element, select Definition.
4. From the List view, clickAdd Relationship > Is Defined by.
5. Select a term.
6. Click OK.

   In the object page, the business name and description are now inherited from the term.
