# tDataQualityRules properties for Apache Spark Structured Streaming

[Preview](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Introduction/feature-preview-program-overview.htm)

These properties are used to configure tDataQualityRules running in the Spark Structured Streaming Job framework.

The Spark Structured Streaming tDataQualityRules component belongs to the Data Quality family.

This component is supported on Local Spark 3.5.x and Databricks/EMR with Spark 3.x.

Information noteNote: This component does not support dynamic schema.

Information noteImportant: Before you run this component, manually upload the semantic JAR to the cluster because it is too large for automatic upload.

## Basic settings

| Properties | Description |

| Output schema and Edit schema | A schema is a row description that defines the number of fields (columns) to be<br>processed and passed on to the next component.<br><br>Click Sync<br>columns to retrieve the schema from the previous component connected in the<br>Job.<br><br>Select the Schema type:<br><br><ul> <li><p> <span>Built-In</span>: You create and store the schema locally for this component only.</p></li> <li><p> <span>Repository</span>: You have already created the schema and stored it in the Repository. You can reuse it in various projects and Job designs.</p></li> </ul><br><br>Click Edit<br>schema to make changes to the schema. If the current schema is of the Repository type, three options are available:<br><br><br>View schema: choose this<br>option to view the schema only.<br><br><br>Change to built-in property:<br>choose this option to change the schema to Built-in for local changes.<br><br><br>Update repository connection:<br>choose this option to change the schema stored in the repository and decide whether<br>to propagate the changes to all the Jobs upon completion.<br><br>The supported types are: Boolean, Date, Double, Float, Integer, Long, Short,<br>and String. |
