# tSCPConnection

Opens an SCP connection to transfer files in one transaction.

## tSCPConnection Standard properties

These properties are used to configure tSCPConnection running in the Standard Job framework.

The Standard tSCPConnection component belongs to the Internet family.

The component in this framework is available in all Talend products.

## Basic settings

| Properties | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Host | IP address of the SCP server. |
| Port | Number of listening port of the SCP server. |
| Username | User name for the SCP server. |
| Authentication method | SCP authentication method. |
| Password | User password for the SCP server.<br><br>To enter the password, click the [...] button<br>next to the password field, enter the password in double quotes in the pop-up dialog box,<br>and click OK to save the settings. |

## Advanced settings

| tStatCatcher Statistics | Select this check box to collect log data at the component level. |

## Global Variables

| Variables | Description |

| Global Variables | ERROR\_MESSAGE: the error message generated by the<br>component when an error occurs. This is an After variable and it returns a string.
