| Schema and Edit Schema | A schema is a row description, it defines the number of fields to be
processed and passed on to the next component. The schema is either
Built-in or stored remotely in the
Repository.

Built-in: You create and store the schema locally for this component only. | Input column | Select the column that must be handled by Ollama. Only one column can be
selected at a time.

This field is available only when the tOllamaClient is not used as an input
component and existing columns can be retrieved from the previous component in
the Job. |
| Host | Enter the IP address or the hostname. |
| Model | To select one of the available Llama models, click the
[...] button next to the field. | Usage guidance | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Usage rules | This component cannot handle dynamic columns.

The component performance
depends on the following factors:

Good prompt writing, see How to prompt Code Llama.

LlaMa model size. For example, LLaMa 3.2 (3B) is faster than LLaMa 3.3 (70B).

Local machine CPU, memory, and GPU configuration.

If you switch the usage of this component from an input component
to a regular component, you need to adapt the schema and prompt instructions
accordingly as the Input column parameter is not
displayed for input components. |
