# DD\_for\_PostgreSQL registry subkey

For each PostgreSQL instance for which Talend Change Data Capture for PostgreSQL has been installed, you get a key below the DD\_for\_PostgreSQL key.

| Parameter | Description |

| **ConnectionMode** | This parameter activates the type of connection, in trigger<br>mode only:<br><br><ul> <li><kbd>0</kbd> means ODBC</li> <li><kbd>1</kbd> means OCI</li> </ul><br><br>For more information, contact Talend [Support](https://www.talend.com/technical-support/?_ga=2.177601517.935794220.1683617077-857954988.1641206411) team. |
| **Journal** | This parameter configures the journal table name in the<br>source database. |
| **Port** | This parameter configures the port of connection used by<br>PostgreSQL.<br><br>The default value is 5432. |
| **ParamPwd** | This parameter indicates the PostgreSQL password associated<br>with the username (**ParamUid** parameter described<br>below) that will be used by the Manager, the Scheduler, the<br>Supervisor and the source engine to establish the connection<br>to PostgreSQL.<br><br>The default value is the one provided after the installation<br>(see [Installing PostgreSQL<br>source](https://help.qlik.com/talend/r/en-US/7.3/change-data-capture-installation-guide/installing-postgresql-source)). |
| **ParamUid** | This parameter indicates the PostgreSQL username that will be<br>used by the Manager, the Scheduler, the Supervisor and the<br>source engine to establish the connection with<br>PostgreSQL.<br><br>The default value is the one provided after the installation<br>(see [Installing PostgreSQL<br>source](https://help.qlik.com/talend/r/en-US/7.3/change-data-capture-installation-guide/installing-postgresql-source)). |
