# Create HDFS metadata

Based on the Amazon EMR metadata created in [Create the cluster metadata in Talend Studio](https://help.qlik.com/talend/en-US/amazon-emr-getting-started/8.0/create-cluster-metadata-in-studio), you can create the HDFS metadata for future reuse in your Job.

## Procedure

1. In the Repository, right-click your cluster metadata and click create HDFS.
2. Name your new connection and click Next.
3. Click the Check button to verify that your connection is successful.
