Adding data from uploaded data files

You can upload certain file types and load that data in Data load editor or Data manager.

To make data from files available in your app, you must:

• Upload your data files to your cloud. Each data file must be 500 MB or less.
• Add the data to your app. This is a preliminary step that allows you to select and prepare the data that you want to load.
• Load the data into your app. When you are done selecting and preparing the data, you can load the data into your app. After you load the data, you can use it to create visualizations in your app.

Uploading your data files to your cloud

You can upload data files to your cloud from the DataFiles window. There are different ways to open this window.

In a new app

Wykonaj następujące czynności:

1. Open the app.
2. Click Add data from files and other sources.
3. In the left menu, click Data files.
4. Under Folder shortcuts, click DataFiles, and then upload a data file.

In an existing app

Wykonaj następujące czynności:

1. Open the app.
2. In the top menu, click the Data tab, and then click Add data.
3. In the left menu, click Data files.
4. Under Folder shortcuts, click DataFiles, and then upload a data file.

In the Data load editor from an existing DataFile connection

Wykonaj następujące czynności:

1. Open the app.
2. Open the Data load editor.
3. Go to the Data connections window on the right. You will see folders from personal and shared spaces, you can access.
4. Choose a DataFiles folder, and click .

After you have uploaded a file to your cloud, you can add the data to you app, and then load data into your app.

Loading data into your app

In Data manager

Wykonaj następujące czynności:

1. Open an app.
2. Otwórz Menedżera danych i kliknij ikonę . Możesz również kliknąć opcję Dodaj dane w . Adding data allows you to select and prepare your data before you load the data into your app.
3. Click Data files.
4. Choose the file that contains your data. Qlik Sense provides you with a preview of your data.

5. Select the tables and fields to load.

6. Kliknij polecenie Dodaj dane, aby otworzyć dane w widoku Asocjacje w menedżerze danych. Umożliwi to dodawanie źródeł danych, przekształcanie danych i tworzenie asocjacji tabel w Menedżerze danych.

   Kliknięcie polecenia Dodaj dane powoduje domyślnie włączenie profilowania danych. Funkcja profilowania danych:

   • Rekomenduje asocjacje danych.
   • Automatycznie kwalifikuje pola wspólne między tabelami. To powoduje dodanie unikalnego prefiksu opartego na nazwie tabeli.
   • Mapuje pola daty i godziny do autoCalendar.

   Asocjacje między tabelami na podstawie nazw pól wspólnych nie są tworzone automatycznie. Asocjacje między tabelami można utworzyć w widoku Asocjacje.

   WskazówkaAby ładować dane bezpośrednio do aplikacji, kliknij ikonę  i wyłącz profilowanie danych. To spowoduje również przeładowanie wszystkich istniejących danych ze źródeł danych w momencie dodania danych. Asocjacje między tabelami zostaną utworzone automatycznie na podstawie nazw pól wspólnych. Pola daty i czasu nie zostaną utworzone.

7. Po zakończeniu przygotowywania danych kliknij polecenie Ładuj dane. W razie wykrycia poważnych problemów należy je rozwiązać w Menedżerze danych przed załadowaniem danych do aplikacji.

From a data connection in the data load editor

You can go to Data Connections, and use the Select data dialog to select data to load.

From a file by writing script code

Files are loaded using a LOAD statement in the script. LOAD statements can include the full set of script expressions. To read in data from another Qlik Sense app, you can use a Binary statement.

Uploading an updated data file

To update data in an app, you can upload an updated data file with the same name as the file you that you previously uploaded. When prompted, choose the replace the previous file. After you have uploaded the data file, you can reload the data into your app.
