Sample files

In order to create Qlik NPrinting reports, you need a QlikView document or a Qlik Sense app. Below you will find the sample files mentioned in Qlik NPrinting tutorials.

QlikView documents

Two QlikView (.qvw) files are available as samples. The files must be downloaded and saved in a specific location on the computer where Qlik NPrinting is installed.

Examples.zip

Do the following:

  1. Click the Examples.zip link at the bottom of this section and download the file to your preferred location on the computer where Qlik NPrinting is installed.
  2. Extract Sales Demo.qvw and Budget.qvw, and save them in the C:\NPrintingServer\QlikViewDocuments\Samples folder. You should create the folder if it does not already exist.

If you save the files in a different place, this location needs to be substituted for C:\NPrintingServer\QlikViewDocuments\Samples wherever it is specified in the Qlik NPrinting help.

Warning noteMapped network drives, like Z:\NPrintingServer\QlikViewDocuments, are not supported by Qlik NPrinting. You must use Universal Naming Convention (UNC) paths, such as \\ServerName\NPrintingServer\QlikViewDocuments.

Qlik Sense app

One Qlik Sense (.qvf) app is provided as a sample. You need to place Beginner’s tutorial.qvf in the Apps folder. The app provided is the same one used in the Qlik Sense help site tutorial, Beginning with the basics.

Sample file - Beginning with the Basics.zip

Do the following:

  1. Click the Sample file - Beginning with the Basics.zip link at the top of this section, and download the file to your preferred location on your computer.
  2. Send the app to your system administrator, and ask them import Beginner’s tutorial.qvf into the QMC.
  3. Ask your system administrator to publish the app to a stream you can access. They can publish to the default stream, Everyone.
  4. Open Qlik Sense, go to the hub, and verify that you can open the Beginner’s tutorial app from the stream.
