# Integrating Slack with Stitch Notifications

Using the [Custom email notification list feature](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/stitch/account-security/notifications/extend-email-notifications), you can integrate Stitch notifications with your [Slack workspace](https://www.slack.com/).

In this guide, we’ll walk you through integrating your Stitch notifications with Slack using Slack’s email integration features: Email forwarding and the Email app.

## Prerequisites

* **An existing Slack account.** Depending on [the method you want to use to integrate with Slack](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/stitch/account-security/notifications/integrate-notifications-with-slack#configure-slack), you may need a Slack Standard or Plus plan.

## Step 1: Configure Slack

Using one of the two following methods, you can integrate Stitch email notifications with Slack:

* [Option 1: Integrate using a forwarding address](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/stitch/account-security/notifications/integrate-notifications-with-slack#integrate-using-forwarding-address)

* [Option 2: Integrate using the Slack Email app](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/stitch/account-security/notifications/integrate-notifications-with-slack#integrate-using-email-app)

### Option 1: Integrate using a forwarding address

Slack’s [forwarding address feature](https://get.slack.help/hc/en-us/articles/206819278-send-emails-to-slack#set-up-a-forwarding-email-address) enables you to forward emails to your Slack workspace. Emails sent to the forwarding address are received in your direct message with Slackbot.

### Option 2: Integrate using the Slack Email app

Information note **Note**: The Email app requires a Standard or Plus Slack plan.

Slack’s [Email app](https://get.slack.help/hc/en-us/articles/206819278-send-emails-to-slack#connect-the-email-app-to-your-workspace) automatically routes emails to the channel or direct message in Slack that you specify.
