Building logical models with precedent-based learning
By default, Insight Advisor uses precedent-based learning to construct the logical model used to interpret data and provide insights.
Insight Advisor can analyze an app to see how fields are used to create charts. The Qlik Precedents Service analyzes apps whenever Insights is opened in the app. The app analysis service examines how data fields and master items are used in charts. It does not examine the data in the fields, however. This teaches precedents for making aggregations, dimensions, and measures from app data. Insight Advisor can use precedents learned from other published apps if they use a similar or identical data model. In unpublished apps, Insight Advisor can use precedents learned from published apps.
App analysis is enabled for all published apps with Insight Advisor. You can disable Insight Advisor in an app if you do not want Insight Advisor to learn precedents from that app.
You can customize the logical model of your app using business logic. When using a customized logical model, precedent-based learning and precedent features of Insight Advisor are disabled. For more information, see Customizing logical models for Insight Advisor.
