Publishing apps to cloud hub collections

You can publish apps to collections to which you have write access. You do this at the same time as publishing to a stream. Apps that are already in a stream can also be published to a collection.

When an app is published to a stream in Qlik Sense Enterprise, distribution policies created by your Qlik Sense administrator determine the target cloud hubs that will receive the app in their collections using custom app properties. When publishing an app to a stream, you can set app properties that control the destination cloud hub and collections as well as control access to the app. You can also apply the app properties to a published app already in a stream. When you set these properties, Qlik Sense copies the app in stream to the selected collections.

If your deployment has multiple cloud hubs with collections, you will need to choose one.

Warning:

To avoid exposing restricted data, remove all attached files with section access settings before publishing the app.

Attached files are included when the app is published. If the published app is copied, the attached files are included in the copy. However, if section access restrictions have been applied to the attached data files, the section access settings are not retained when the files are copied, so users of the copied app will be able to see all the data in the attached files.

You can remove a published app from a collection by removing the app properties applied to it. Deleting the app also removes it from the collection.
