# Select all possible values of a field

Select all the possible values of a field by using the [SelectPossible method](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/November2025/Subsystems/EngineJSONAPI/Content/service-field-selectpossible.htm).

#### The first step of the example is to create a list object with one dimension, Country. The goal is to select all the possible values of the field Country.

1. Create the list object LB01.The dimension is the field Country.

The client sends:

2. Get the layout of the list object. The handle is 2.

All values are optional (state is O).

3. Get the handle of the field Country.

4. Select all possible values of the field Country.The handle of the request is 3 because the field has 3 as a handle.

All the possible values in the field Country are selected (all the ones that were in the optional state).
