# createTable method

qlik.app.createTable(dimensions, measures, options)

Defines a hypercube for a table and is the entry point to the Table API. It creates a table object that wraps the hypercube.

## Parameters

### dimensions

Type: Array.<String|Object>

Dimensions to use.

Should, for each entry, be a field name or a NxDimension structure.

### measures

Type: Array.<String|Object>

Measures to use.

Should, for each entry, be an expression or a NxMeasure structure.

### options

Type: Object

Optional.

Options to set.

## Returns

A [QTable](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/November2025/Subsystems/APIs/Content/Sense_ClientAPIs/CapabilityAPIs/TableAPI/QTable.htm), which is initially empty but that eventually contains data. The table object is updated when selection state changes.

```
var users = app.createTable(["FirstName", "LastName"], ["Count(Case Id)"],{rows:200});
```
