# SelectValues method

Selects some values in a field, by entering the values to select.

## Parameters

| qFieldValues | List of the values to select. | Yes | Array of [FieldValue](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2026/Subsystems/EngineJSONAPI/Content/models-fieldvalue.htm) |
| qToggleMode | The default value is false. | No | Boolean |
| qSoftLock | Set to true to ignore locks; in that case, locked fields can be selected.<br>The default value is false. | No | Boolean |

## Returns
