# List the dimensions in an app

List the dimensions in an app by creating a transient object using the [CreateSessionObject method](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2026/Subsystems/EngineJSONAPI/Content/service-doc-createsessionobject.htm) and getting the layout of the transient object using the [GetLayout method](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2026/Subsystems/EngineJSONAPI/Content/service-genericobject-getlayout.htm).
