# Remove an alternate state

Remove an alternate state by using the [RemoveAlternateState method](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2026/Subsystems/EngineJSONAPI/Content/service-doc-removealternatestate.htm).

## Example

The client wants to remove the alternate state AlternateState01 from the app. The handle of the app is 1.

The client sends:
