# Remove a connection

Remove a connection by using the [DeleteConnection Method](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2026/Subsystems/EngineJSONAPI/Content/service-doc-deleteconnection.htm).

## Example

The goal is to remove a connection.

The identifier of the connection is provided.

The client sends:

  "method": "DeleteConnection",
  "handle": 1,

  ]

```

The engine returns:

```

The connection is removed.
