# IsPersonalMode method

Indicates whether or not the user is working in personal mode (Qlik Sense Desktop).

Use *IsDesktopMode* method instead

## Returns

| qReturn | &lt;true or false&gt;<br>The engine returns **true** if the user is working with Qlik Sense Desktop. | Boolean |
