# Remove a slide

Remove a slide by using the [DestroyChild method](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2025/Subsystems/EngineJSONAPI/Content/service-genericobject-destroychild.htm).

#### The goal is to remove the slide slide01.

The slide slide01 has been previously created and has 3 as a handle. For more information, see [Add a slide to a story](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2025/Subsystems/EngineAPI/Content/Sense_EngineAPI/BuildingAStory/add-slide.htm).

To remove the slide, the [DestroyChild method](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-developer/May2025/Subsystems/EngineJSONAPI/Content/service-genericobject-destroychild.htm) is used.

The client sends:
