# isModeAllowed method

Checks if a given mode is allowed.

### mode

Type: String or constant

Can be one of the strings:

* edit
* analysis

or one of the constants:

* qlik.navigation.EDIT
* qlik.navigation.ANALYSIS

## Returns

A Boolean value (true or false).

if(qlik.navigation.isModeAllowed(qlik.navigation.EDIT)){
     //enable edit button
  };
```
