Connecting to the Qlik Sense audit service API

The audit service API has a set of endpoints that allow you to retrieve logs of persisted audit events. The audit service is a protected resource so you must include an Access Token or API key in an Authorization header that you send with your request. Qlik Sense validates this token or key and responds to the API request.

The full path for accessing the API endpoints is as follows:

https://{url}/api/v1/audits

where {url} is the public address of the cluster, for example, https://abc.us.example.com/.

Here are some examples of audit service API endpoints. For a complete list of endpoints, refer to Audit service API reference.

  • GET {url}/api/v1/audits (Retrieve a list of audit events that the user has access to)
  • GET {url}/api/v1/audits/{auditId} (Retrieve the log for the specified audit event)

Examples

The following examples use Postman to make the API requests.
