All services in the Qlik Sense deployment authenticate their communication using a SSL certificates. You can use the same Qlik certificates to authenticate with the Qlik Sense Proxy Service (QPS) API.
To authenticate using this method:
- The location from where the authentication request is executed must have a copy of the client SSL certificate.
- All requests must carry administrator level permissions.
If you plan to access the API from a remote server, you must export the certificates from the Qlik Management Console (QMC) and install them on the calling server.
