Troubleshooting - Refreshing data in Qlik Sense Cloud

This section describes problems that can occur when refreshing data in Qlik Sense Cloud. If none of the following actions solves the problems, please contact Qlik Support.

The data in the app in my group stream was not refreshed

Possible cause 1

The credentials for your connection have expired. For example, you may have reset your password or security token for your data source.

Proposed action  

If you are refreshing the data on a schedule, try to refresh the data manually. If your credentials have changed, you will be prompted to enter them. This will also reset your credentials for the app connection for scheduled refreshes.

Do the following:

  1. Navigate to an app.
  2. Right-click the app, and then click Refresh published data.
  3. If your credentials have changed, you will be prompted to re-enter them.
  4. Open the app in your group stream and verify that your data has been updated.

Possible cause 2

The data refresh scheduler service is encountering problems.

Proposed action  

Try to refresh the data manually. Right-click the app and then click Refresh published data. If the data in the app in the group stream is refreshed, the problem may be with the scheduler service. Please contact Qlik Support.

Possible cause 3

A stream in your group is encountering problems.

Proposed action  

Unpublish the app from the stream to your group workspace, refresh the data manually, and then republish the app back to your stream.

Do the following:

  1. Navigate to an app in a stream.
  2. Right-click the app, and then click Unpublish.
  3. Right-click the app, and then click Refresh published data.
  4. Right-click the app, and then click Publish. Select a stream.
  5. Open the app in your group stream, and then verify that your data has been updated.

Possible cause 4

The database to which you have created a connection is not available.

Proposed action  

Verify that the database is online and available.

Possible cause 5

It has been less than 30 minutes since you published your app.

Proposed action  

Wait 30 minutes and then reload the data manually.
