# Providing access to the Teradata Database

The Qlik Replicate user who is working with the Teradata Database must be registered as a user in the Teradata Database. This is the user that is entered in the dialog box when [Setting general connection properties](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2026/Content/Replicate/Main/Teradata/set_up_teradata_as_target.htm). You must grant Teradata Database access to this user before configuring the database in Qlik Replicate.
