# Limitations

The following limitations apply:

* The Use direct path full load option does not support the following:

  * Tables with INDEXTYPE CONTEXT

    Workaround: Use Array Load.

  * Bidirectional replication

  * Triggers

* Qlik Replicate cannot create a new schema on the Oracle database. To replicate to a new schema, the new schema name must already exist on the Oracle target. You can then specify the new schema name in the Task Settings’ [Target metadata](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2026/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedEMReplicate/Customize%20Tasks/target_metadata.htm) and [Control tables](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2026/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedEMReplicate/Customize%20Tasks/control_tables.htm) tabs as required.

* When working in [Batch optimized apply](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2026/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedEMReplicate/Customize%20Tasks/tasks_applychangtunestab.htm) mode, empty LOB columns might be replicated as NULL values.

* After Full Load completes, if the Limit LOB size to option is enabled and a table contains NCLOB data, the NCLOB size on the target will be truncated to half the size specified in the [Limit LOB size to](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/replicate/May2026/Content/Global_Common/Content/SharedEMReplicate/Customize%20Tasks/target_metadata.htm) field. CDC will still truncate it according to the limit.

* Oracle AI Database 26ai is supported with Oracle Standard Edition only.

* Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse 26ai is supported with Oracle Enterprise Edition only.

  Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) is supported using the same connectivity method as Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
