Get started with analytic connections

To set up and run an analytic connection, follow this installer procedure. In a QlikView installation, the connection configuration is done once for every plug-in type (such as R or Python). The following procedure is specific for QlikView Desktop.

  • Install QlikView November 2017 Desktop. You can find the latest version of QlikView Desktop at qlik.com under Services, Customer downloads.
  • Download and install the plug-in.

  • Configure the analytic connection in QlikView Desktop by editing the Settings.ini file. Follow the process found in the Analytic connections page, under "Creating an analytic connection".

  • Start the plug-in server.
  • Run QlikView Desktop to allow the connection with the plug-in server to be established.
