# Getting started

Download QV2QS from [the Product Downloads page](https://community.qlik.com/t5/Product-Downloads/tkb-p/Downloads), place the executable in any folder, and run the file directly. QV2QS bundles all required components internally, including QlikView Desktop (for PRJ folder generation — a set of XML files extracted from a QVW file) and qlik-cli (for Qlik Cloud communication).
