# Import Users

The Import Users step retrieves all user definitions from the previously exported `users.json` file and creates those users in the Qlik Cloud tenant. This step also applies configured licenses and roles as defined in the migration plan.

* `Export Users`

## Step details

* Input file:

  * `users.json`: Contains the list of users to be created in Qlik Cloud, along with their license type and assigned roles.

* Behavior:

  * If a user already exists in Qlik Cloud, they are skipped.
  * License assignment and role configuration are applied where applicable.

## Notes

* This step does not invite or notify users. It prepares user records for the migration process.
* If a user cannot be created due to an invalid configuration or missing license entitlement, the job log will reflect the issue.
