# Import Extensions

The Import Extensions step retrieves all previously exported custom extensions from the project folder and imports them into the Qlik Cloud tenant.

## Prerequisite steps

* `Export Extensions`

## Step details

* Source location:  
  Extensions are read from the `Exported Extensions` folder located inside the associated project folder on the server.

* Format:  
  Each extension is imported from its `.zip` archive, which includes both the extension's files and metadata.

* Scope:  
  Only the extensions exported in the prior Export Extensions step are processed. If a matching extension already exists in Qlik Cloud, it will be skipped.
