# Export Themes

The Export Themes step retrieves all custom themes from the Qlik Sense Client-Managed environment and exports them to the server for use in migration.

## Prerequisite steps

There are no prerequisite steps for this migration step.

## Step details

* Export location:  
  Themes are saved to the `Exported Themes` folder inside the associated project folder on the server.

* Format:  
  Each theme is exported as a `.zip` archive, containing all associated theme files and metadata.

* Scope:  
  Only non-native, custom themes from the Qlik Sense Client-Managed environment are exported. Native Qlik themes are excluded.
