# Export Extensions

The Export Extensions step retrieves all custom extensions from the Qlik Sense Client-Managed environment and exports them to the server.

## Prerequisite steps

There are no prerequisite steps for this migration step.

## Step details

* Export location:  
  All exported extensions are saved in the `Exported Extensions` folder inside the corresponding project folder on the server.

* Format:  
  Extensions are exported as `.zip` files. Each archive contains the full extension content along with its metadata.

* Scope:  
  Only non-native Qlik extensions are exported. Native or default Qlik extensions included with the product are excluded.
