# Validate Tasks

The Validate Tasks step reads the Qlik Cloud tenant once and checks every migrated reload task and task chain against it. This step changes nothing in Qlik Cloud.

## Step details

* Requirements:  
  The step needs only the Qlik Cloud connection. It has no settings.
* Verdicts:  
  Each task receives one of the following verdicts:
  * Validated
  * Needs attention
  * Failed
  * Not validated  
    The worst verdict among the tasks of a chain is the verdict of the chain.
* Results:  
  The results are written onto the rows of the plan, so the Tasks tab of the job shows them. They are also written to a report in three formats:
  * `TaskValidation_{timestamp}.xlsx`
  * `TaskValidation_{timestamp}.html`
  * `TaskValidation_{timestamp}.json`

* Workbook:  
  The workbook has the following sheets:
  * Summary
  * Tasks
  * Findings
  * Not migrating

## Notes

* The [Validate Applications](https://help.qlik.com/en-US/migration/Content/AnalyticsMigrationTool/Managing-Migration-Steps/Applications/Validate-Applications.htm) step uses the same verdicts, with Not checked in place of Not validated.
