# Delete Spaces

The Delete Spaces step retrieves all space definitions from the selected plan and attempts to delete the corresponding spaces from the Qlik Cloud tenant if they are found.

## Prerequisite steps

* `Create Spaces`

## Step details

* Retrieval method:  
  Spaces are resolved by name, which is a unique and case-sensitive identifier in Qlik Cloud.

* Scope:  
  This step targets both shared and managed space types.

* Behavior:  
  If a matching space is found, it is permanently deleted from Qlik Cloud. If no match is found, the step completes without error.

## Notes

* Spaces must be empty before deletion; Qlik Cloud will block deletion of spaces that still contain applications or other assets.
* This step is typically used in cleanup jobs or iterative migrations where previously created test spaces need to be removed before rerunning other steps.
