# Delete Data Connections

The Delete Data Connections step retrieves all data connection definitions from the selected plan and deletes the matching connections from the Qlik Cloud tenant.

## Prerequisite steps

* `Create Data Connections`

## Step details

* Retrieval method:  
  Data connections are identified using a combination of their name and space. This combination must be unique within Qlik Cloud.

* Behavior:  
  If a matching connection is found, it is permanently deleted. If no match is found, the step completes without error.

## Notes

* Deletion will fail if the data connection is currently used by one or more applications.
* This step is typically used in rollback or iterative testing workflows where previous connections need to be cleaned up.
