# Delete Applications

The Delete Applications step retrieves all application definitions from the selected plan and attempts to delete the corresponding applications from the Qlik Cloud tenant if they are found.

## Prerequisite steps

* `Import Applications`

## Step details

* Retrieval method:  
  Applications are identified via their description metadata, which includes a reference to the original On-Premise App ID. This metadata is applied during the Import Applications step.

* Scope:  
  All matching applications found across the Qlik Cloud tenant will be deleted. This includes personal and shared space applications.

* Behavior:  
  If multiple applications are found with matching identifiers, each will be deleted. If no match is found, the step completes without error.

## Notes

* This step is commonly used for cleanup purposes or to reset applications before running a fresh import.
* Ensure that the applications to be deleted are not needed before running this step, as deletion is permanent.
