# Cancelling jobs

If a job is currently running, it can be cancelled at any time. Cancelling a job stops all remaining migration steps in the sequence. Cancellation is typically registered immediately and halts further activity.

## Cancelling a running job

Use the following steps to cancel a running job:

1. Select the Project  
   On the Jobs tab, in the Project dropdown, ensure that the correct project is selected.

2. Locate the job  
   In the job list, locate the currently running job you want to cancel.

3. Click Cancel  
   Under the Actions column of the job, click the Cancel button.

4. Confirm cancellation  
   A confirmation prompt will appear. Click OK to confirm that the job should be cancelled.

5. Verify  
   The Run Status of the job should update to `Cancelled`.
