# Customizing the Message Center

You can customize the Message Center according to your business needs. The table below describes the available options.

Message Center customization options

| To | Do this |
| --- | --- |
| Display messages for all tasks | Under Showing Messages for, select All. |
| Display messages only for the selected tasks or servers | Under Showing Messages for, select Selected Tasks or Selected Servers, respectively. |
| Hide current messages | Click Hide Current Messages above the message list to only show new messages coming in. Note that this option is only available when you view all system tasks.<br><br>To bring back all messages, click Show All Messages. |
| Change the time period | From the drop-down list at the top left of the Message Center, select one of the available time periods: Last 6 hours, Last 12 hours, Last day, Last 3 days, or Last week. |
| Filter message severity | Select or clear the Errors, Warnings, Notifications or Info check boxes above the message list as desired. |

The Message Center also includes buttons to view log files, open the Task tab to view a task, or view server information. In addition, you can:
