Setting up connectivity to Qlik Catalog

To catalog Replicate tasks in Qlik Catalog, Enterprise Manager needs to establish and maintain a connection with the Qlik Catalog server.

To provide your Qlik Catalog connection details:

  1. Open the Settings window and select Qlik Catalog Server Connection on the left.
  2. Enter the following information:

    • Host: The host name of the Qlik Catalog server machine.
    • Port: The port over which the connection will be established. The default port is 8443.
    • User name: The user name for connecting to the Qlik Catalog server machine.
    • Password: The password for connecting to the Qlik Catalog server machine.
    • Web app name: qdc
    • URL: The URL link is created automatically from the host name, the port and the Web app name.
    • Default catalog AD group: The Active Directory group in Qlik Catalog under which tasks will be cataloged. This will be the default group when cataloging tasks.
  3. Optionally, click Test Connection to verify your connection settings.
  4. Click Save to save your setting or Discard Changes to revert to your previous settings.

Catalog columns

After you configure connectivity to a Qlik Catalog server, the following columns become visible in Tasks View.

  • Cataloged - Indicates whether or not the task is cataloged.
  • Name - The task's data asset (dataset) name in Qlik Catalog.
  • Location - The task's location in the Qlik Catalog hierarchy.
  • Datastore - The task's datastore (source connection) name in Qlik Catalog.
  • AD Group - The Active Directory group in Qlik Catalog under which the task is cataloged.
