# Deleting image files from media library

You can delete images from the media library in Qlik Sense.

You can open the media library in several ways:

* From the application details area. Do the following:

  1. In an application, click the application name in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.

  2. Click the More actions icon > Edit details.

  3. Click the Select image icon on the application thumbnail.

* When editing a sheet. For example:

  * Add an Image object to the sheet. In the properties, select Media library as the Image source.

  * Double-click a Text & image visualization on the sheet and click the Select image icon.

  * Click the title area on a sheet. Next, in the properties panel, click the Thumbnail icon under .

  * Follow the procedure for adding a background image to a chart or sheet, then click the Select image icon.

* In Storytelling view, click the Select image icon in the toolbar.

The Media library dialog opens and now you can delete images.

## Delete images

Do the following:

1. Select the file you want to delete.

2. Click the Delete icon .

   A confirmation dialog is displayed.

3. Click Delete.

Now you have deleted images from the media library.
