Managing data

Before your can create visualizations in your Qlik Sense app, you need to connect to a data source. Next, you add the data into Qlik Sense. This is an intermediate step that allows you to preview and manipulate your data in the Data manager. When you’re ready, you can then load your data into your app.

Adding and loading your data

After you upload a file, or connect to a database, you can add the data. At this point, Qlik Sense gives you a preview of your data in the associations window of the Data manager. This allows you to continue to add data sources, transform the data, and associate the tables.

When you are done preparing your data, you are ready to load it by clicking the Load data button. You can now use your data to create visualizations in your app.
