# Youtube Analytics

Youtube Analytics is the analytics service by Youtube to better understand your video and channel performance with key metrics.

Youtube Analytics integration replicates data using the [Youtube Reporting API](https://developers.google.com/youtube/reporting/v1/reports) and [Youtube Data API](https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs).

## Preparing for authentication

To access your data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

Information noteMake sure that the account you use has read access to the tables you want to fetch.

To retrieve your client ID and client secret:

1. Log into Google Cloud Console.
2. Go to APIs & Services > OAuth Consent Screens > Get Started.
3. In the Audience field, select External.
4. Go to APIs & Services > Credentials.
5. Click Create Credentials > OAuth client ID.
6. In the Application type field, select Web application.
7. In the Name field, type a name for the credentials.
8. Click Create.
9. Copy and paste your client ID and client secret into a secured file.

1. Fill in the required connection properties.

2. Provide a name for the connection in Connection name.

3. Select Open connection metadata to define metadata for the connection when it has been created.

4. Click Create.

| Data gateway | Select a Data Movement gateway if required by your use case.<br><br>Information note<br><br>This field is not available with the Qlik Talend Cloud Starter subscription, as it does not support Data Movement gateway. | Start Date | Enter the date, in the format `MM/DD/YYYY`, from which the data must be replicated from your source to your target. |
| Channel IDs | Youtube channel ID. |
| Client ID | Client ID. |
| Client Secret | Client secret. |

### channels

The `channels` table contains info about the channels in your Youtube Analytics account.
