Managing users - User-based subscriptions
Qlik Cloud provides several ways to organize the users that you add to the tenant. The available user types and how you manage users depend on your subscription. With the user-based Qlik Cloud Analytics subscriptions, the users are assigned Analyzer or Professional user entitlement.
Add users through an identity provider or send email invitations. Once users are added to the tenant, categorize them as either app consumers or content creators by assigning Analyzer of Professional user entitlements.
Additionally, you can grant specific permissions for actions in Qlik Cloud. Permissions are grouped into roles that you can assign to individuals or groups of users. The roles can be changed at any time. There are tenant-wide security roles and roles specific to certain spaces:
-
Security roles provide a set of tenant-level permissions to users and administrators. They determine what the user can do in the system. For more information, see Assigning security roles.
-
Space roles determine what a user can do with the content in a specific space. Spaces are sections of the cloud hub used to collaboratively develop apps and control access to apps. For more information, see Managing permissions in shared spaces, Managing permissions in managed spaces, and Data space roles and permissions.
