Deploy an index cluster

Qlik Big Data Index is deployed in a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) using Kubernetes. You can deploy it in a number of environments:

  • Amazon EKS (Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes)
  • Microsoft Azure

  • Google Cloud Platform

  • Non-managed Kubernetes environments

Index the data

The index is the main element of Qlik Big Data Index. Before you can index the data, you need to prepare the data using a schema, and connect to the data with a specific connector.

On the Qlik Sense system

Use the indexed data in an app

When you have created the index with Qlik Big Data Index, you can use it in your app. You can connect to the data model and access the data in different ways.

  • Extract the data using a load script with QSL (Qlik Selection Language).
  • Connect to the data with the QABDI Selector in Qlik Sense.
